Following his last loss under the ONE Championship banner, many questioned whether Muay Thai legend Sam-A Gaiyanghadao would make it back to the top. The 41-year-old veteran has been there and done it all when it comes to the striking sports.

At ONE Friday Fights 22 in June last year, he suffered his second consecutive loss to fellow elite Thai competitor, Prajanchai PK Saenchai. The acclaimed competitor was knocked out in the second round in one of the most devastating finishes of the year.

However, Sam-A has been able to bounce back in style in a display of his resilience and determination. He's now out for revenge and wants to run it back with Prajanchai after his back-to-back wins since that difficult defeat.

Following a stunning knockout over Akram Hamidi in September, the living legend put on a masterclass against Zhang Peimian at ONE 169 in November.

The former two-sport, two-division kingpin spoke in a recent interview with Sportskeeda MMA about why he thinks a third clash between him and Prajanchai would be different to their other two meetings.

He believes that at the third time around, his former foe would get the best version of him:

"It will definitely be different from the first two fights because now my physical condition is significantly better."

Revenge is a powerful tool for Sam-A

It's hard to argue with Sam-A when you look at his last two outings and the performances he was able to put on.

That being said, Prajanchai is a two-sport world champion for a reason and he's been in great form as of late.

After his win over his fellow Thai competitor, he has gone on to achieve dominance over the strawweight division.

Despite the previous fights between them, it now appears that Sam-A is more focused than ever and he's out for revenge.
